Totternhoe Knolls,Bedford,19th May

I had yet to see a Duke of Burgundy this year so this afternoon i headed off to Totternhoe knolls, which is a bedfordshire wildlife trust reserve in the hope of seeing sum.I usually visit this site this time every year to see them. After parking the car a comma, orange Tips and Small Whites were seen in the car park.We then headed off towards the reserve.Hundreds of Cowslips were in flower.A Peacock was seen and a Holly Blue was also seen along with more Small Whites and Orange Tips. While heading to the area where the Dukes occur I had four Dingy Skippers. As soon as I arrived at the Duke site one was seen perched on a small Hawthorn bush. Four individuals were seen, three males and one female. A Green Hairstreak was also seen in the same area.
