Dry Sandford pit & Parsonage moor BBOWT Reserves 22nd August

After a disappointing day at radley yesterday I decided that today I would take a look around these reserves to see what Dragonflies were around, I also wanted to see if the Grass- of -Parnassus was in flower and I'm Pleased to say that it was. As for the Dragonflies it was better than yesterday!

Damselflies/Dragonflies seen today:-
Common Blue Damsel, Small Red Damsel 1, Black tailed Skimmer, Keeled Skimmer 3, Brown Hawker, Southern Hawker, Migrant Hawker, Common Darter.

Butterflies seen today:-
Small white, Common Blue, Brown Argus, Small Copper (my 1st of the year!!), Small Tortoiseshell, Red Admiral, Meadow Brown.

Meadow Grasshoppers and Field Grasshoppers were seen, also Long Winged Coneheads.
A Tortoise Shield Bug was seen at Dry Sandford Pit. A Hobby was also seen here.

2 Ravens flew over parsonage moor calling.
Around 6 young Common Lizards were seen on the boardwalk at Parsonage Moor.
