Spent an hour or so around the reserve today. Insect numbers were low and i'm just going to have to face up to the fact that the season is nearly over :-(

Butterflies seen today:-
Small White, Green Veined White, Small Copper, Common Blue, Brown Argus, Comma,
Red Admiral, Speckled Wood, Meadow Brown.
Dragonflies seen today:-
Southern Hawker 2, Migrant Hawker 2, Common Darter 10+, Ruddy Darter 4
Grasshoppers/Crickets:-
Meadow Grasshopper, Lesser Marsh Grasshopper, Dark Bush Cricket.
